The struggle of mother earth / Tonanzin
This mural represents mother earths’ “ Tonanzin” struggle against mans’ unbalanced and unpredictable miss-use of her natural resources. It is a visual exploration, depicting the causes and effects of global warming due to mans’ carbon footprint and other man- made machinery like fracking wells and industrial pollutants. Two major natural elements you will see in this mural are fire and water, symbols of balance and strength. The people in this mural are also very important because they allow the mural to depict physical and psychological emotions like displacement, loss, and sadness. Also, through the people you will see resilience, strength, integration, respect and positivity.
