the weavers

This mural is a creative retrospective of the history of Napa beginning with the First Nations and original inhabitants of this land. As you follow along the visual historical narrative of this mural, you will experience different time periods that not only influenced the history of Napa but also change the history of this country. This idea of ‘ The Weavers’ is inspired by the weaving of a basket or textile. Traditionally in native culture, a textile, or woven basket, is very significant because it tells a story and captures the history of a community. In this story, ‘The Weavers’ represents all people from all nations weaving history and manifesting abundance for the future.
