Water ceremony
This mural was created to honor the rivers of our city. It depicts a cast of characters and animals from around the world and from different cultural backgrounds. These multicultural cast of characters are participating in a tribal ceremony horning the deity of all the terrestrial waters, “Chalchiuhtlicue”. Community members where also encouraged to participate in the creation of this mural by creating symbolic designs that where incorporated into the mural called the “Voice of the Water”.
